Check Duplicate Tags Dialog

This dialog displays when you have copied components in the drawing. During the copy procedure, when you have positioned the copied component(s) and accepted the placement, the Modify Tags dialog displays with tag information on the copied components which are duplicates of the original component tag(s). If you do not change the tag number(s), and click OK, the following dialog displays:

Check one of the following options and click Accept.

SettingDescription
Check for Duplicate Tags Enable this to check for duplicate tags on the copied component(s). If a duplicate is found, a message dialog displays prompting you to change the duplicate tag number:

Click OK to return to the Modify Tags dialog.

Skip Duplicate Tag Check This option will not check for duplicate tags. However, you may end up with duplicates in the drawing which may not be found until you attempt to sync the drawing with the database. If duplicate tags are found during the sync process the Validate Model dialog displays where you can use the Fix Duplicates option to correct the problem.
Note: You can also run the Validate Model option manually from the File menu.
Return to Tag Number Dialog This option will return you to the Modify Tags dialog without checking for duplicates. If you know duplicates exist, you can fix them there.
